This is the first "pleated tsumami" workshop for Tomura's class, where you will learn to make "peonies."
You will learn directly from a craftsman how to handle pleated tsumami.
Instructor: Kinuyo Tomura (active Edo tsumami-kanzashi craftsman)
Material: Habutae 4-momme silk
Eligibility: Anyone who has worked with habutae silk using starch paste.
Second Session: Assembly
April 18 (Saturday)
Duration: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (with a break)
Material Fee: 1,650 yen (tax included) *Payment will be made at the venue on the day of the workshop.

What to bring: Basic set (glue board, glue spatula, starch paste, tweezers, scissors, ruler, awl, flat pliers, round pliers, writing utensils, hand towel, clear file, masking tape, bond, wet wipes, melamine sponge to hold flowers, box for taking home)
